Sanctuary

Living In the deserts of Thar could have made ‘Khaimi’ strong and burly but her placidness is influential and dominant than the harshness of her surrounding. She is just 14 years old that makes her more benevolent. She is the youngest and the only unmarried daughter of her old and grimy parents. she enjoyed her time with her sister ‘Mohny’ but as she has went to Rahi Kot after her marriage. After that, Khaimi became more and more solicitous than ever. Now she has to look after her young brother ‘sohna’ as well as to perform the house hold tasks. Though she enjoys working, especially, cooking and to fetch water for home. Here she gets a chance to play with her young friends. But at the same time she always tries to hide her self from her 17 years old fiancée ‘Maju’. He was very austere sort of young lad with very strong tone. One day her friends took her to another place for water, she tried not to go but they make her realize that Maju is out of village and that water is better here. After spending some time there she decided to get back home but suddenly she heard Maju’s shout. Innocent Khemi wobbled with horror and jumped into the silent water of well in the search of a Sanctuary.
